Our Mission
ESG OWL’s mission is to be the go-to service provider for small and medium-size manufacturers for sustainability and climate issues. ESG OWL is an extension of your team and serves as the trusted point-person for your sustainability program.
Given the breadth of sustainability issues and topics, no single firm or individual knows everything about sustainability. To best support our clients, ESG OWL leverages its network of trusted partners to deliver specialized solutions which may include energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy, decarbonization projects, and software tools.

Our Story
ESG OWL was founded in 2023 to support manufacturing companies who are being pressured primarily by large customers to measure and reduce their impact on the climate. Small and medium-size manufacturers struggle to assess and manage all the sustainability acronyms, standards, regulations, and reporting requests.
Many manufacturers choose to ignore customer sustainability questionnaires as it is too difficult to determine how to respond. ESG OWL seeks to alleviate the pain caused by these requests and turn the sustainability questionnaires from an annoyance to a strategic differentiator. This change doesn’t happen overnight as it may require new policies, data collection and analysis, internal committee, and external reporting. Sustainability needs to become a part of the business operations for the manufacturer and this change takes time.
However, for a SMB manufacturer, it’s important to start the journey but the volume of work typically does not justify a full-time Sustainability hire. This leaves Manufacturing Executives with a choice of who can be tasked to lead Sustainability from their existing team: Environment Health & Safety, Operations Director, Plant Manager, HR, or even the President. All of these individuals have other priorities in their day-to-day and typically lack expertise in Sustainability.

Our Founder
Todd Weinstein is a professional consultant and software sales executive with more than 15 years of experience and has joyfully served over 75 clients. Based in Chicago, Todd is centrally located to visit with clients face-to-face and via online meetings/phone calls. Todd is inspired on a daily basis by his two daughters who are inspired that dad is doing his part to “save the planet”.
Todd has a passion for serving clients with integrity, knowledge, and expertise. He combines his expertise in sustainability, business consulting, and enterprise software to help guide clients through the complexity of applying Sustainability to their business in a practical, approachable, and cost-effective manner.
Todd collaborates with small and medium size businesses to understand their business priorities, assess opportunities to boost financial performance through Sustainability, and guide the business on operationalizing sustainability initiatives.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
As an organization that is focused on decarbonization, ESG OWL takes its greenhouse gas emissions seriously. ESG OWL is a boutique firm, so our footprint is small but nonetheless we seek to minimize our climate impact. We strive for continuous improvement on reducing our impact on the environment.
We follow sustainable practices such as renewable energy (rooftop solar and community solar), utilize electric vehicles whenever possible, compost food waste, implement energy efficiency solutions, and minimize air travel.
